Maybe you can paint some parts with paint and stain the rest, then ad designs to the white parts you painted, like in between those grooves, just a suggestion. Also the grooves remind me of pretzil sticks for some reason, ππ

It looks like a bunch of pretzel sticks on the front now π€£ I'm sorry, I know this is frustrating.

Or take off the fluted areas and have just a plain no texture area. Choose a similar wood or not for another topping. . BUT no TExTURE unless you resllyyyyyyyyyyyyyy love texture.
You can tell I like plain no texture items.
Learned my lesson the hard way just as you did right now.

Paint only the fluted drawers black or a dark color as another viewer advised. But ANYthing with texture is hard to do. Period. ANYTHING. WHATEVER the TEXTURE is!!!!

Have you thought about bleaching
@jacobhurley9587 Apr 8, 2026
Throw that shit in the trash xD. Or keep it for material and throw the fluted panels. Not everything is a W and you have to weigh the time you invest as well.

You need to get a lazer to remove paint
@jeffvenables4845 Apr 8, 2026
I would paint the fluted drawers with a black paint, then go over the stain with an ebony stain. You might to have to fill the small holes in the fluting though. . .They are cool pieces! Just remember, everything is figure-out-able!! Thatβs my personal motto. π

Cover the fluted part with wrapping like the car wrap or wallpaper. Colorful tropical design?

In what universe is something you got FOR FREE a scam?
@adellesmith5412 Apr 8, 2026
use a gold paint to edge them with the holes put some faux gems in them

I like the way the drawer fronts look. Stain it a few more times and someone with character will want furniture with character.
