Why would this even be a thing? Fire doesn't pull heat away from anything because it doesn't rely on it. People who get trapped inside during fires don't die in cold homes.

The burning benzin might produce a chimney effect, sucking cooler air from the soil and cooling the beer, but that would need a much deep, Γ€hm, test area, ground, something, not the shallow trough, they used.

The sand is to dry for the experiment. The sand needs to be wet to cool the beer durning the gasoline fire.

Someone tell them 25 lbs of sand is nowhere near millions of acres. No moisture means no evaporation. Heat stays where water isn't.
