A "gamer" that thinks they can't run Ethernet is no gamer, cuz a majority of them use Ethernet for the best uninterrupted signal. Ethernets run at different lengths, and different standards from CAT5 to CAT7. This is nothing new. This has been a thing for at least 2 decades now.

If your house doesn’t have insulation between the walls you have bigger problems. Also don’t go drilling into your wall, hitting a electrical wire will not end well for you and the same goes for plumbing although that’s less likely

Most of the houses nowadays have ceiling. Sometimes it's easy to go tru walls, above ceiling level. There is hidden.

My house in India has Ethernet cable all throughout the walls and it was my dads own decision to put them 😂😂 without me saying anything I only got to know that we had Ethernet cables when it was 2 weeks since we moved in 😂

If you have a central hvac system there is a good chance you can run it through exchanges pretty easily .
