In Norway you can put up your tent in non-cultivated land for up to two days (48 hours), as long as you are at least 150 m from any occupied house or cabin. High in the mountains you can camp longer as long as you don’t damage the land or cause bother for anyone.

In finland the everymans rights state that you can wildcamp on anyones land for a few nights as long as youre far away from houses, dont start fires or are too many in the same spot. And we have a whole bunch of national parks all over the country with very off grid places in the north

It’s a much different and IMO better vibe in the US. More of an out there and wild feel. More freedom, fewer regulations, more diversity, friendlier people, etc etc.
