In Norway you can put up your tent in non-cultivated land for up to two days (48 hours), as long as you are at least 150 m from any occupied house or cabin. Have you ever considered walking the length of Norway? As I understand it, sleeping tends to be a mix of camping (both “wild” and otherwise) and cabins, often Norwegian Trekking Association cabins.

In finland the everymans rights state that you can wildcamp on anyones land for a few nights as long as youre far away from houses, dont start fires or are too many in the same spot. And we have a whole bunch of national parks all over the country with very off grid places in the north

Europe is not just the central europe. Camping in norther europe you will very isolated wilderness and yes you can put up your own camp.

It’s a much different and IMO better vibe in the US. More of an out there and wild feel. More freedom, fewer regulations, more diversity, friendlier people, etc etc.
